OUTCOMES

Young men, who actively complete one year in Project M.A.L.E., will receive essential skills that lead to becoming an empowered individual in the areas of Leadership Development, Public Speaking and Manly Deeds.

More specifically participants will:

  • Have higher self-worth and esteem. They will view themselves as empowered leaders, with a high level of volunteerism that will result in changing their community.
  • Improve decision-making skills that will lead to better choices in their academic, social and home environments.
  • Enhance oratory skills and develop self-confidence that will lead to mastery of effective communication.
  • Show gains in academic performance that will lead to a successful transition into high school.
  • Be less likely to participate in violence, bullying and gang activity.

Impact by the numbers:

  • In 2012/2013- Project M.A.L.E. had an enrollment of 5 dedicated young men. We reached approximately 35 young men through our various outreach programs.
  • In 2013/2014- Project M.A.L.E. had an enrollment of 8 dedicated young men. We reached approximately 60 young men through our various outreach programs. We collectively completed nearly 100 hours of community service.
  • In 2014/2015- Project M.A.L.E. had an enrollment of 11 dedicated young men. We reached approximately 85 young men through our various outreach programs. We collectively completed over 250 hours of community service.
